INADEQUATE HELMETS:

Recently, helmets have become lighter and more cushioning to impacts,
designed to protect against concussion.

Actually the lighter the helmet, (less mass)
the less protection it gives to the brain.

THE HARDEST OBJECT ON THE PLAYING FIELD IS THE HELMET. ITS ROCK HARD.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CUSHION EFFECT OF THE HELMET AIR BLADDERS IS SET FOR “NORMAL” GAME IMPACTS OF UNDER 40 G’s, and not more…

WHEN THE IMPACT IS GREATER THAN  40 G’s, THE SKULL IMPACTS THE SHELL OF THE HELMET; AND THE BRAIN IMPACTS THE INNER SKULL CAUSING ANYTHING FROM MICRO BRAIN BLEEDING TO CONCUSSION, TO DEATH.
(A study conducted by EJ Pellman in 2004 determined that an athlete has a 75% risk of injury when subjected to a 98g acceleration.)

Sports game rule changes are not doing enough to even start preventing CTE;

BETTER HELMETS ARE NEEDED NOW…
